About Photo Rights

The internet is generally a good thing. For everything, perhaps, except photo copyrights. Yes, I have been guilty of downloading photos or graphics off the internet for website production. The basic rule that I tell people is this: If you don't want someone to use it, don't put it on the internet. Or protect it with a watermark or copyright notification.

That said, if you need photos for your brochures, print collateral or website, Gleason PR now has several tools in our toolbox.

  1. We can obtain permissions to use existing photography, charging just a small fee for our time and whatever the photo rights are.
  2. Gleason PR can take original hi-res digital or film photos for products, events or people.
  3. We are members of a group with access to one of the largest photo libraries in the world, and can arrange discounted licensing rights to professional photos, historic photos and other stock photography.

PMQ PIZZA MAGAZINE WEB SPIKES
WITH GPR PUBLICITY BLITZ

Above are actual page view statistics for the US Pizza Team website. The large spike was Tuesday, March 11, the day that the US Pizza Team was featured on Live with Regis and Kelly. PMQ Publisher Steve Green said traffic to the USPT website was 15x greater than average, and similar results were realized by PMQ's other sites.

"It's no surprise that our media relations generated sizable spikes in website visits," Kerry Gleason says. "Every time we get a major placement, we're introducing information to the public for the first time, and people are curious. I encourage all of our clients to embark on a publicity campaign if they want to spark website traffic."
